Peace Like A River

It was a wide river, mistakable for a lake or even an ocean unless you'd been wading and knew its current. Somehow I'd crossed it... Now I saw the stream regrouped below, flowing on through what might've been vineyards, pastures, orhards... It flowed between and alongside the rivers of people; from here it was no more than a silver wire winding toward the city. - Leif Enger, Peace Like A River

Blog of the Week poll

This week I am one of the five candidates for the Crosley Solo Blog of the Week over at the Radioblogger site.

(The Radioblogger, he of the bionic fingers, puts up transcripts of segments from the Hugh Hewitt radio show.)

Read all five posts. My entry (Peace Like A River) can be read here. The poll will be open till around Monday noon.

If you vote for me, I'll cut your taxes. If you don't vote for me, I'll take your house under eminent domain, and build a commercial yak breeding farm and casino.
