Peace Like A River

It was a wide river, mistakable for a lake or even an ocean unless you'd been wading and knew its current. Somehow I'd crossed it... Now I saw the stream regrouped below, flowing on through what might've been vineyards, pastures, orhards... It flowed between and alongside the rivers of people; from here it was no more than a silver wire winding toward the city. - Leif Enger, Peace Like A River

John tried out one of his new LeapPad books last night, it's one where the dad is trying to sleep, and on each page the kids are doing noisy things that might wake him. On one page, there's a train track, with a train going around, and for some reason that just captured his interest. I was in my bed reading, and he came out of his room and grabbed me and said "come to my bedroom" and he showed me the page, and started acting it out, he'd pretend to sleep and I'd be the train and wake him up. Funny.

John and Hanna went to Jessica's house today. This is the second time they've been there. Hopefully they'll have fun with the new set of kids again.

I took them to Lions Park last night. John likes talking into those "microphones" as he calls them. Those mouthpieces that are separated, but are connected by a pipe so you can hear someone talking.
