Peace Like A River

It was a wide river, mistakable for a lake or even an ocean unless you'd been wading and knew its current. Somehow I'd crossed it... Now I saw the stream regrouped below, flowing on through what might've been vineyards, pastures, orhards... It flowed between and alongside the rivers of people; from here it was no more than a silver wire winding toward the city. - Leif Enger, Peace Like A River

Should be a fairly quiet day at work today. Lots of people already gone. Ahhhh.

Lately John has been saying "I love my daddy boy". Awww. Often I'll say to him "I love my John boy", which is where I'm sure he gets it from.

Hanna is saying more and more words. Starting to string two words together. And, she'll often sing along with songs. For instance, in the car, playing the Bible tape she "sings" along with some of the songs. Or, if I sing her some songs like Lullaby and Rocjk-a-bye or Jesus loves me or Jesus loves the little children, she'll sing along. She doesn't formulate a lot of words, but she's obviously singing along, and will usually say the last words in a line.

Sometimes Hanna will shake her head from side to side really fast, and she'll laugh and say "silly!" (Though it sounds more like lilly). She's a giggly girl, likes to laugh and have fun.

I finally resolved the marble problem in the Calculatrivia quiz. I had written a computer program to simulate the problem numerically, and I was getting an answer of 15/32, which I knew was wrong. I got a different answer when I do the math. Well, I finally figured out there was a flaw in my program's logic, so when I fixed that, my program settled on the right answer. That's the beauty of math, the numbers always work out.
