Peace Like A River

It was a wide river, mistakable for a lake or even an ocean unless you'd been wading and knew its current. Somehow I'd crossed it... Now I saw the stream regrouped below, flowing on through what might've been vineyards, pastures, orhards... It flowed between and alongside the rivers of people; from here it was no more than a silver wire winding toward the city. - Leif Enger, Peace Like A River

Argh. Another snowstorm is predicted for tonight and into tomorrow. Sounds like tomorrow will be another nasty day for driving around town. Sigh.

The kids did very good in their little Christmas program last night. John wasn't too terribly antsy. One of the gals on stage with the kids held him, and he only tried to escape a couple times. Otherwise, John sang the songs and did the actions. He was so cute. Hanna didn't sing too much. She did a few of the actions here and there, but she was content to stand there and watch the teachers. Both she and John were "snowflakes", so we dressed them in white, and they had this little paper plates drawn up to be snowflakes.
