Peace Like A River

It was a wide river, mistakable for a lake or even an ocean unless you'd been wading and knew its current. Somehow I'd crossed it... Now I saw the stream regrouped below, flowing on through what might've been vineyards, pastures, orhards... It flowed between and alongside the rivers of people; from here it was no more than a silver wire winding toward the city. - Leif Enger, Peace Like A River

Another sunny day, temps probably above freezing again. Was a nice service at church this morning. The choir had the whole service, did quite a few numbers, finished with the Hallelujah Chorus.

On the way home, went through the car wash. John enjoyed that again.

When we got home, we saw the new garbage service had been delivering the new garbage cans. Except we didn't get one. We had the recycling can up by the house, so maybe the geniuses thought we already had one. The cans look the same, except the recycling one has a yellow top. Presumably so geniuses can TELL THEM APART! And if they were the ones delivering in the this neighborhood, why would we already have one? Sigh. So, will probably have to call them and have them bring one.

About time to get John to his nap. Hanna has already laid down.
