Peace Like A River

It was a wide river, mistakable for a lake or even an ocean unless you'd been wading and knew its current. Somehow I'd crossed it... Now I saw the stream regrouped below, flowing on through what might've been vineyards, pastures, orhards... It flowed between and alongside the rivers of people; from here it was no more than a silver wire winding toward the city. - Leif Enger, Peace Like A River

A solemn day today, but for us, always a day with happy memories. It's the day we first got to see John, and we spent several hours with him. I'll always remember when they brought him into the room the first time.

Rhonda brought John into bed with me this morning, and he started singing the Bunny song from the fiery furnace Veggie Tales story. He just loves that one, he always asks to watch that one. Last night John played with LeapPad for awhile.

Hanna was happy and smiley in her chair, having breakfast, when I left for work today.

Got another couple of pages done on Chapter 2 last night.
