Peace Like A River

It was a wide river, mistakable for a lake or even an ocean unless you'd been wading and knew its current. Somehow I'd crossed it... Now I saw the stream regrouped below, flowing on through what might've been vineyards, pastures, orhards... It flowed between and alongside the rivers of people; from here it was no more than a silver wire winding toward the city. - Leif Enger, Peace Like A River

The kids will be up from their naps soon. I'll probably take them over to bumpy slide park for awhile before supper.

Tomorrow is Hanna's birthday!! She'll be two!

This morning at church, both John and Hanna had new rooms to go to. John went to the three year old room, and Hanna went to the two year old room. Before sunday school, we checked in on John, and he cried when we left him again. I suppose he just has to get used to the new room.

I served communion at both services, and then today was Corn Roast Sunday, so I helped people who needed a hand carrying plates.

Yesterday was nice and warm, so after their naps, we took the kids over to the lake. The water felt cold at first, but then was fine. Wonder why it was so cold, if water was coming up from the bottom of the lake, or if the cool nights have let the water cool that much. Still very nice today, and should stay in the 80s for a few days.

The Vikes beat the Packers today! Twins are tied in the 8th inning, and still tied for first. They have 4 big games with White Sox starting tomorrow.
