Peace Like A River

It was a wide river, mistakable for a lake or even an ocean unless you'd been wading and knew its current. Somehow I'd crossed it... Now I saw the stream regrouped below, flowing on through what might've been vineyards, pastures, orhards... It flowed between and alongside the rivers of people; from here it was no more than a silver wire winding toward the city. - Leif Enger, Peace Like A River

I see that Galileo is scheduled to plunge into Jupiter's atmosphere this Sunday. Farewell, little spacecraft. It is almost out of fuel, and has had a long, successful mission. I remember watching its launch live in Iowa in the physics dept. Some people there had an instrument on board the spacecraft.

Had a deacons meeting last night, had some good discussions.

Am just about done with Chapter 2. I want to quick bang out the rest of it today so I can get it printed and ready for our meeting tomorrow. It's kinda fun seeing things I've had in my head for months, even a couple years, start to show up on paper.

Lately John has been holding Hanna by the hand and helping her walk around. Ha, how sweet.

Both little heads were in the kitchen window when I left for work today. Hanna is aware now of saying byebye when I leave, and she'll come over for a hug and kiss goodbye, and she'll say "bye bye!" She was saying "Daddnnnn" this morning too.

Twins won again last night. Magic number is now 7!
