Peace Like A River

It was a wide river, mistakable for a lake or even an ocean unless you'd been wading and knew its current. Somehow I'd crossed it... Now I saw the stream regrouped below, flowing on through what might've been vineyards, pastures, orhards... It flowed between and alongside the rivers of people; from here it was no more than a silver wire winding toward the city. - Leif Enger, Peace Like A River

Well, about time I get back here. Been slowly recovering from the jetlag combined with chasing two toddlers around.

Yesterday was finally warm enough to get the kidlings outside. So, when I got home from work they were already out. John got down the sled so I pulled him and Hanna around the yard a bit, but sleds are certainly better on snow than on grass. After supper I took them over to the park. Hanna really likes the swings. She just giggled and giggled when I pushed her. She also liked walking across that rubber bridge on the playground set.

This morning Hanna saw Rhonda getting a banana, and it sounded like she said "nana". Hmm. First word?

Last night, Hanna was still awake when Rhonda put her in bed, and she shrieked her disapproval, even though she was tired. I went in and said good night, and she just shrieked bloody madness when I left, but she quickly quieted down.

How about the Wild! They won an exciting game in overtime last night, and play Game 7 tonight in Denver.
