Trying to get things wrapped up at work. At least leave things in a manageable state so the person who will cover for my duties won't have too big a headache.
I don't know this time around doesn't seem as enjoyable. Despite what happened during our trips, I had fun on our trips. Now, I'm not looking forward to it. Maybe it's just all the trouble in the world, or I'm more aware of how tiring the trips can be, and the headaches of dealing with another culture. Anyhoo, will be mucho happy when Hanna is home and in her own crib.
Plus, I worry about leaving John alone for so long, and that's a worry we didn't have before. He's at an age where he notices us gone, but doesn't quite understand why yet. He's experienced abandonment in the past, so it's hard to see how it affects him now, and how our being away affects him. But I worry it's harder on him than it would be otherwise.
So, this will be my last dispatch for awhile. Will give you all the gory details when we return. It took me a week or so to adjust to the time coming back. Going east is usually not bad. The melatonin helps, and it seems easier to adjust going that way. Coming back west though is harder. I ran out of gas at 8 or 9, and we'd be awake and 3:30 or 4 am.
Ciao...
