David – Seeking God Faithfully

An important one is given in Chapter 16

• "The Spirit of the Lord came mightily on David (16:13)
• "Now the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul" (16:14)

• Self-Confidence alone is a "dead-end" street
• Arrogance leads to disaster!
• False "Gods" will fail us
• Tunnel Vision sets us up for deception

• God’s Reputation must always be first
• Confidence in God leads to success
• Balance is the Key
• Opportunities come when we’re prepared

#1) We must first and foremost trust God to help us achieve our goals

#2) We must be prepared to do what God wants to achieve through us at any given moment
